About Rowlec
An extension of your engineering team.
We supply the electrical, mechanical and MRO products that keep UK manufacturers running, and we manage the inventory and support that sits behind them.
Rowlec Limited began as an electrical wholesaler. Today we are a specialist industrial supplier, holding electrical, mechanical and MRO products for manufacturers across the UK and running the inventory management and engineering support that goes with them.
That change came from listening. Customers did not want another catalogue and another account to administer. They wanted a supplier who understood what a stopped line costs, who knew the difference between a bearing that will do and the bearing that belongs in the machine, and who would take work off their plate rather than add to it. So we became that business, and we have stayed that way ever since.
The way we describe it internally is simple. We are not another supplier on the approved list. We are an extension of your maintenance and engineering teams.

How we got here
From electrical wholesaler
to industrial partner.
Wholesaling teaches you a great deal about availability. It teaches you far less about what happens on the other side of the trade counter, at three in the morning, when a fitter is stood in front of a machine that will not start.
So we went and learned that part of the job. We took on mechanical alongside electrical, because breakdowns do not respect the split. We started walking customers' stores instead of waiting on their order. We began holding critical spares on their behalf, and chasing obsolete parts around the world when nobody in the UK could help.
Rowlec is still an independent business run by people you can get hold of, based at Furthergate Business Park in Blackburn. What has grown is the depth of what we do, and who relies on us to do it.

Most suppliers pick a side. We hold circuit protection and control gear alongside bearings, belts and pneumatics, so one call covers the whole job.
We work inside your stores
Not just delivering to the door. We walk the racks, set the levels and keep the labelling straight, so the stores stop being the job nobody gets to.
We plan for what stops you
We work out which failures would halt the line and cover them before they happen, then keep hunting when a part falls out of production.

Agreed response times, emergency deliveries and out of hours cover, written down, so you know exactly what happens when something fails.

Technical people answer the phone
No call centre and no ticket number. You get someone who has specified this kind of part before and can talk it through with you there and then.

Honest lead times
If it is on the shelf we will say so. If it is six weeks out we will tell you that too, and start looking at alternatives while you decide.

One seal or a pallet of consumables, the service is the same. We are not going to make you take ten of something to get a sensible price.

Send us the failed part, a photograph or a machine number. Working out what you actually need is part of the job, not an extra.
